Reviews of Sharp Point Soft Shell men's Jacket

Review 1: Very Sharp Jacket
This jacket has a nice, moderately athletic cut with enough room in the chest and shoulders for motion. Marmot does focus on real use. It is a very nice looking jacket, that I am already wearing more than any other jacket I own. Warm enough to wear on its own down into the 30s. Lightweight, stylish, durable, and - a plus for me - not as ubiquitous as TNF. Like TNF (which I do like too), Marmot makes products for hardcore outdoor sports, while both are also attractive for every day use.

Review 2:Great for varied activities/conditions
Pit zips are effective for shedding heat and ease of movement during vigorous activity. Wind does not penetrate fabric. Only rub to jacket is that I have to squeeze my hands through wrist opening on sleeves.

Review 3:Great active wear
After ice climbing with a somewhat bulky goretex shell I knew I needed something that would keep me warm, but not get in my way when grabbing gear. I was suprised at how warm this jacket is with just a polypro layer underneath. Perfect for active sports down to the single digits.

Review 4:Outstanding Softshell!
Great spring skiing softshell! Spent a week in it and loved it. Only downside is it could use a sleeve pocket and another inside pocket, but overall sufficient capacity for spring skiing stuff, only reason I rated it a 4 - otherwise a 5. I caught an aspen on my should while skiing a glade, but the jacket took the punishment in stride - wish I did!

Review 5:Nice Jacket
I bought this for Cross Country Skiing. Based on sizing chart I bought a large, but it was too large. Medium is a bit snug - I 'm not thin - but a better fit. Only drawback is the color - I prefer subdued colors, and this jacket is a vibrant green. The large was a bright royal blue... too blue for me.

Review 6:Excellent Jacket!
I have used this jacket for Backpacking and the pit zips work great to regulate temperature. The material is very durable and will resist wear. You can't go wrong on this jacket, what are you waiting for, buy it!

Review 7:pittzips,good temp control
from the eagle cap to the golf course, this seems to be the ticket for windy days. got it for the pittzips since most jackets seem to be skipping this must have feature. The cut in the shoulders allows one to still rip driver with out looking like your wearing a potato sack. Fits well under a backpack, all around it's nice I only wish this was wool with gore windstopper

Review 8:Excellent jacket, exceeds expectations!
This jacket really exceeded my expectations. It fits great, the cut (length, collar height, cuffs, etc.) is just right, and the slash pockets are placed just right. The material is very effective at blocking wind and light rain or mist, yet it does not get clammy inside. It also does not feel "creepy" the way many synthetics do. It's just heavy enough to feel protective and rugged, without being bulky or weighty. I ordered the green one, and the colors are much more attractive than they appeared in the web photos. All in all, this is easily one of the best jackets I have ever owned. Seriously!

Review 9:Gone Fishing
I got a great deal on this jacket and it was an impulse buy. But, it has been a nice jacket and has worked well. I like that it has pit-zips which are not common in most softshells. I also like the fact that it has velcro on the cuffs. Blocks the wind well and so far has stayed water resistant but to be honest I have not worn it enough to wear off the DWR finish.
